There are so many ways to contribute and we aren't just talking about money (although donations are greatly appreciated). If you are an animal lover, we urge you to speak up in town meetings and to your representatives about making animal abuse laws more strict, pushing for heavier penalties and enforcement for the laws we have.
You are their voice because they don't have one.
Educate your neighbors about their animals if you feel their lives should be improved. Most people take better care of their animals when they know someone is observing their behavior.
HELP the Animals is completely funded by donations. We do not receive assistance from any city or county government agencies. We rely solely on grants, fund-raisers and donations to be able to continue helping lost, neglected, abused and abandoned pets in Wayne County, Indiana and beyond. Your monthly tax-deductable contribution keeps our shelter doors open and able to provide veterinary care, food and shelter to all the animals in our shelter. By sponsoring an animal, kennel or cat cage, the shelter has a more dependable way to gauge our ability to intake all the animals we possibly can. Find out more
HELP is a volunteer based organization. We are always appreciative of our volunteers and have many opportunities for direct animal care, clerical help, building maintenance, and of course fund-raising. Find out more
